In a mixing bowl, combine flour, ginger, allspice, baking soda, and salt; set aside. In another mixing bowl, combine sugar and butter until blended. Fold in applesauce and molasses. Add flour mixture to sugar mixture. Mix well. Chill dough for several hours or until firm. Preheat oven to 375. Prepare two baking sheets with cooking spray. Place one ounce balls one inch apart onto prepared baking sheets. Bake for 12 minutes, or until lightly browned on top.
