Tomato & Basil Fettuccine

Adapted from Favorite Brand Name Recipes, Main Dishes

  • 1/2 c onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic, minced
  • 29 ozs canned crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp basil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 12 ozs fettuccine, uncooked
In a skillet, cook onions and garlic over medium heat. Cook until tender but not brown. Add crushed tomatoes, basil, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cook fettuccine according to package directions. Drain. Immediately toss hot fettuccine with tomato basil sauce.
