canned crushed tomatoes

fettuccine, uncooked
In a skillet, cook onions and garlic over medium heat. Cook until tender but not brown. Add crushed tomatoes, basil, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cook fettuccine according to package directions. Drain. Immediately toss hot fettuccine with tomato basil sauce.
