vanilla wafers, crushed

Granny Smith apples, cored and chopped

granulated sugar

cinnamon

apple pie spice

walnuts, chopped
Preheat oven to 350. Prepare a 9"x13" pan with cooking spray; set aside. In a small bowl, combine wafer crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and margarine. Mix until crumbly. Press onto bottom of prepared pan. In another small, combine cinnamon, apple pie spice, and remaining sugar. Mix well. Layer apples first, then sprinkle evenly with wafer crumb mixture, and sugar mixture. Cover and bake for 45 minutes, or until apples are tender.
