Fruit Bits Bread

Adapted from Motts

  • 2 c unbleached flour
  • 4 ozs Sun Maid Fruit Bits
  • 1/2 c granulated sugar
  • 2 tsps orange peel, grated
  • 2 tsps baking powder
  • 1 c cinnamon applesauce
  • 1/4 c water
  • 1 whole egg
  • 3 tbsps Country Crock Light Spread, melted
Preheat oven to 350. Prepare a 8"x4" loaf pan with cooking spray; set aside. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, fruit, sugar, orange peel, and baking powder. Mix well. Add applesauce, water, egg, and spread. Mix until all is moistened. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for one hour or until toothpick insert in center comes out clean.
