margarine, melted

light brown sugar, packed

unbleached flour

baking powder

pure vanilla extract

pecans, chopped and divided
Preheat oven to 350. Brush the egg whites onto bottom of crust. Bake for five minutes; set aside. In a mixing bowl, combine margarine, brown sugar, flour, egg, baking powder, and vanilla extract. Mix well. Mix in 3/4 cup pecans. Spread into baked crust. Sprinkle top evenly with remaining 1/4 cup pecans. Bake for 30 minutes, or until filling is set.
