canned peach halves, drained and reserved

Preheat oven to 350. Line bottom of a 8" square pan with lady finger halves. Cut 12 additional lady fingers in half. Line sides of pan with lady fingers. Arrange peaches in lady finger-lined pan; set aside. In a small saucepan, combine granulated sugar and cornstarch. Stir in 3/4 cup reserved peach syrup. Cook over medium heat; stirring constantly until mixture begins to boil. Remove from heat and add vanilla extract. Pour over peaches in pan. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, flour, oats, and cinnamon. Mix well. Add melted margarine. Sprinkle over peaches. Bake for 20 minutes. If lady fingers are browning to quickly, cover with foil and make a few minutes longer.
